
ANNICK LAFRONTIERE
Annick LAFRONTIERE begun her career as singer at the age 12. She is the fourth child of a five children family. Her father, composer, performed, early, concerts with all his family around France.
Annick LA FRONTIERE was the soloist of the group called "The FAMILY LA FRONTIERE" who sang rhythms and blues. They recorded with the Majors (Polydor, Carrière, Motors) four samples. They obtained success in France and all around Europe.
At the age of sixteen years-old, her mezzo voice has been noticed by the famous french baryton Jean Gireaudoux who recommended her to pursue in an opera career.
The next year, she entered the Superior Conservatoire of Boulogne where she took singing and musical lessons during 7 years and got her diploma.
At the age of eighteen years-old, she won the prize of the best Prize-winner Young Artists at the International Singing Competition of Marmande.
She performed recitals and concerts in France and Europe, specialized in lieder and French melodies. She participated at several operas in France (main roles : Erda in Das Rheingold, Wagner – Ulrica in Il Trovatore, Verdi).
She won other prizes in international singing competition as Dinard, Barcelona or Rhodes..
She keeps on training her voice with the famous soprano, Isabel GARCISANZ who follows her career.
In November 2004, she won the medal silver at the Olympiad of Athens as soloist Opera singer.
Finally, Annick LA FRONTIERE is also the Director of the greatest cultural center in French Guyana (South of America), called Ensemble Cultural Regional (EN.C.RE.).
